When we created the design for these pants, we started by digging deep into the history books. We really liked the design from the 70’s, when the pants had a suit feeling to them. So we took those thoughts to the drawing table and started by adding a high waist. Not only do we think that this looks really good, but it also adds more protection than regular pants. A piece of strong elastic band, with velcro on each end, secures a good fit on the waist.
Early in the design process we decided to only use one fabric for the entire pants and not mess around with different materials. We also wanted a wind- and waterproof fabric at the rear to prevent nordic skiers from freezing or get wet if they sit down. This also make them look clean and tidy.
Neoshell® from Polartec® takes the Pants No.1 into the 21th century. It’s breathable and waterproof, it’s comfortable and stretchy and it’s highly durable and really lightweight. The pattern contraction also features pre-bent knees, to add even more function.
Due to anatomical differences, we can not make the pants unisex, the women's model is a little wider around the hip area.
